  • Ten years of R&D management, product development, and process automation and integration in the electronic manufacturing industry

  • Automated Process Planning to speed up the product development process and improve throughput and machine utilization
  • Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Operations Improvement through lean manufacturing strategies and automated quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA)
  • Sustainable Product Development, including "green products", "green manufacturing," "design for the environment," and environmental impact and sustainability considerations
  • Robotic Applications in Industry that explore any or some of the aspects of robotics, such as application development, safety, material handling, programming, dynamics, kinematics and control, sensing and end-effector design
  • Supply Chain Integration and Management for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to identify and evaluate emerging tools, interfaces and systems required for smaller manufacturers to conduct electronic supply chain management transactions via the Internet
  • Intelligent Manufacturing involving sensors, data integration, pattern recognition, adaptable knowledge bases and dynamic modeling and simulation of manufacturing systems
  • Rapid Development of Rehabilitative and Biomedical Devices accommodating considerable variability in ability and range of function of persons with disability and delivering customized devices quickly, at a low cost, and in small quantities
