6th ISAT Golf Challenge

PHOTO: Golf ChallengeOver 80 parents, alumni, faculty, and friends participated in the 6th Annual ISAT Golf Challenge on Sunday October 16. The event was hosted by the ISAT Honor Society and included lunch, golf, and barbeque picnic at the Heritage Oaks Golf Course in Harrisonburg.

Participants enjoyed the sunny, fall day and a relaxing afternoon of golf amid beautiful surroundings. The winning team at 10 under par included ISAT students Neal O’Dell (‘13), Mark Ostrander (‘12), Pat Knowlan (‘12), and Charlie Johnson (‘12).  Congratulations!

This year, the event raised $3000 toward the Richard Roberds Scholarship for ISAT students. Dr. Roberds, the first ISAT Department Head, attended the event again this year and greeted our first two scholarship winners, Marlee Najamy-Winnick (’12) and Chris Brown (‘13). For more about the scholarship and how you may support it, visit the ISAT Golf Challenge.

This event is one of many activities performed by the ISAT Honor Society. If you are interested in joining this group, contact President, Andrew Knoll (’12). Contact faculty sponsors Tony Chen or Paul Goodall to participate in next year’s ISAT Golf Challenge.

Thanks to Anne Henriksen, photos of the event can be viewed on shutterfly.
